Insurance & Receipts

Practical guidance for clients

The primary overview of fees and insurance is the Fees & Insurance page. This resource focuses on what clients may need after booking.

BEFORE YOUR FIRST APPOINTMENT

Contact your insurer and ask whether your plan covers services provided by a Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), as applicable to your therapist.
Confirm any annual maximum, per-session limit, deductible or referral requirement.
Ask whether virtual and in-person psychotherapy are treated differently.
Keep the insurer’s response for your records.

RECEIPTS

Calm Mind Therapy provides receipts for eligible services after payment is processed. Review the receipt and submit it to your insurer according to your plan’s instructions.

REIMBURSEMENT

Coverage varies by plan, employer and insurer. A provider name appearing in website examples does not imply a partnership, direct billing arrangement or guarantee of reimbursement.

PAYMENT QUESTIONS

Review your booking documents or secure portal for current payment instructions. If an administrative correction is needed, contact the practice or email our team without including unnecessary sensitive clinical information.

EXISTING CLIENT ACCESS

Use the secure Client Portal for receipts, forms, messages and appointment information.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Does Calm Mind guarantee coverage?
No. Clients are responsible for confirming eligibility directly with their insurer.

Can a receipt be changed to improve coverage?
Receipts must accurately reflect the service, provider and payment. The practice cannot misrepresent information.

Where are current fees listed?
See Fees & Insurance and the relevant service page. Confirm your selected service, therapist and fee with the practice before your first appointment. To get started, visit Book a Session.
